Job Description As Finance Analyst you will be a pivotal member of the Harding+ Financial Control team, with responsibility for the alignment of forecasts of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow and the forecasting and actualisation of the company's asset-based lending (ABL) facility on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. This role is an important and responsible role and involves liaison with key parts of the business, notably buying, sales and shop planners as well as within finance, including FP&A, Tax, AR, and AP. Key Role Objective and Accountabilities: This is a unique and varied role that sits at the centre of what Harding+ do.Spearhead sales analysis and buying activity, identifying growth opportunities and potential.Navigate the dynamic landscape of 20 unique cruise lines, adapting to their varying payment schedules and ensuring a seamless cash flow management process cost-saving measures.Craft, maintain, and optimise intricate Excel-based cash flow models to forecast, track, and manage weekly financial inflows and outflows with precision.Orchestrate relationships with a diverse array of suppliers, strategically balancing stock purchases and consignment deals to maximise revenue streams and maintain optimal inventory levels.Ensuring compliance, lead timely and accurate VAT submissions, mitigating risks, and maximising financial efficiency.Monitor buying activity, sales trends, and market dynamics to provide strategic insights, enabling proactive decision-making and capitalising on emerging opportunities.Seamlessly collaborate with cross-functional teams, from sales to support functions, to synchronise efforts, optimise operations, and drive cohesive financial strategies.Analyse sales data, buying patterns, and payment trends to uncover actionable insights, supporting data-driven strategies that enhance profitability.Fuse together the intricate threads of cruise line behaviour, supplier relationships, and payment dynamics, creating a unified financial strategy that propels the business forward.Champion cash flow stability as the heart of the business, employing proactive measures to ensure consistent liquidity and financial resilience.Embrace the challenge of a rapidly evolving industry, harnessing your innovative spirit to adapt strategies and processes for maximum financial advantage.Thrive in deciphering complex financial scenarios, transforming raw data into actionable insights that empower strategic decision-making.Leading the 13-week cash flow forecast, blending shorter-term transactional information with medium- and longer-term financial forecastsProvision of weekly and monthly reports to the provider of the ABL and weekly drawdown requestsOpportunity to implement your own process improvements.The Successful Applicant ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant Proven experience in financial analysis and compiling short-term cash flow forecasts from multiple inputsStrong Excel skills and a penchant for handling systemsProactive approach to implementing process improvementsQuick adaptability to learn new systemsTeam-oriented with excellent collaboration skillsMeticulous attention to detail and a curious mindsetEnthusiasm for continuous learning and improvementAbility to build strong stakeholder relationshipsWhat's on OfferSalary on offer up to £55,000Please note, all direct or third party CVs will be sent to Michael Page for ScreeningContact: Victoria Winter-Tuck Quote job ref: JN-072023-6136328 |
